The Consulate General of France in New Orleans is pleased to announce
the upcoming two performances by the Yaron Herman Trio Tuesday, September 15, at 8pm and 10 pm at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, 626 Frenchmen Street in New Orleans Wednesday, September 16 at 7pm and 9 pm at the "Lyceum", 124 Third Street in Baton Rouge After two intense years on tour, the trio, composed of Yaron Herman (originally from Tel Aviv & now living in Paris) on piano, and two American masters, Matt Brewer on double bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums, will continue the success story of their highly acclaimed first album « A Time for Everything » which won two awards in France in 2007 - « choc jazzman » and « disque d'émoi » in Jazz Magazine. Their latest album, "Muse", was released in March 2009 on the LaBorie Jazz Label. In 2008 Yaron was chosen best new instrumentalist by the French « Victoires du Jazz ») The three partners, now closer than ever, will take us on a journey which covers jazz, pop and improvisation.
