Kat Walker @ New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park

New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, Saturday, June 13, 2:00pm.

Inspired by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong, Mel Torme, Dizzy Gillespie, and all the other great Jazz performers, Kat loves to sing Jazz standards. Kat ‘s recent jazz combo performances include: the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, French Quarter Festival, Parkway Tavern and Bakery, Tipitinas, Big Top 3 Ring Circus Friday Night Music Camp and the Arts Market at Palmer Park.

Kat also a fine artist, apprenticed for 8 years under the great late artist Peter Walker doing much of his under painting. Kat's fine art ranges from painting, to assemblage, to papier mache sculpture.

Kat's artwork can be seen in exhibitions around the city, and she has done many commissioned pieces for private clients. She is currently displaying her art at Oak Street Cafe on Oak Street and First Cup Cafe on Calhoun.

Kat owns her own company called Local Color Design which books specialty artistic entertainment for events. She has enjoyed drawing caricatures of conventioneers from all over the world since 1996.
