SUNSET SUNDAYS New Orleans Botanical Garden Spring Sunday concert series, "Sunset Sundays" The show will be held in the Botanical Garden at City Park at the Robert B. Haspel Outdoor Garden Stage near the Pavillion of the Two Sisters.during the early evening hours from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Entry is a bargain at $6.00 for adults, with children free. All are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to fully enjoy some of the very first warm nights of springtime in New Orleans. The venue will offer mojitos, wine, beer, soft drinks and food for purchase at the concerts. "This new outdoor stage is one of the most beautiful settings in our area for music. The combination of the oak trees, azaleas and the stage itself make for a very unique musical experience," said Paul Soniat, director of the Botanical Garden. Sunset Sundays will continue through spring with stellar performances including: April 12: A two-part evening featuring Billy Iuso and The Restless Natives from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by Theresa Andersson 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. April 19: "Domingo Latino" featuring Julio y Cesar from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by RumbaBuena from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. May 10: All mothers will get free admission to these two special Mother's Day performances featuring Ingrid Lucia from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by the Pfister Sisters from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. May 17: "Sweet Country and Rockin' Cajun" music featuring Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by Sunpie Barnes and the Louisiana Sunspots from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. |
