Daniel Roth, acclaimed organist of St. Sulpice in
Paris in concert at St. Louis Cathedral, Sunday, March 8, 2009, 6 pm, Free. SIGNIFICANCE: Roth will present a recital of organ works of Gigout, Saint-Saens, Franck, and Vierne. His performance will include an improvisation on themes submitted to him at the time of the recital. PERFORMER: Daniel Roth is one of the leading French organists. At St. Sulpice is his the successor to the acclaimed composers for organ, Charles-Marie Widor and Marcel Dupre. He is noted for his interpretations of Vierne and for his improvisations.
