As president & CEO of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Markham heads one of New Orleans' most promising organizations dedicated to the performance and celebration of authentic New Orleans jazz. As a pianist, he has performed extensively with trumpeter Irvin Mayfield and Los Hombres Calientes, and performed sacred jazz in New Orleans churches. The evening includes 2 half-hour sets and an interview with WWOZ's David Kunian, plus an audience Q&A. Admission is $5 and doors open at 6:45 pm. A short reception with cash bar will follow the second set.
